Ron:
Yes, I think this is a reasonable price for a TS480, as long as it is in
good shape.
I think the VGS1 voice module sells for around $60 these days, and I have
heard of TS480's with voice modules going for around $700.
If you could negotiate a little on the price to get it down to something
like $650, to get the full package closer to $700, including what you would
need for the VGS1, that would be great, but I personally wouldn't consider
$680 to be a deal breaker.
One thing I also might mention is that the TS480 does not include filters.
If you wanted to do CW with it, you might want to consider a 500 HZ filter,
but that would be something you could do later on down the line.

A friend of mine has a TS-480 for sale. It has been used very little, and he
is asking $680 for it. It does not have the voice module in it. Is this a
good price?
