Matt, the cable I have has a flat side on the plug that goes into the radio.
The flat side goes up. The plug is on the top left of the rear panel, as
you face the front of the rig, or on the top right if you're facing the back
of the rig.

If your plug isn't shaped like mine, there's a metal ring around the plug
that goes into the radio. That ring is indented on the lower side of the
plug if oriented correctly.

Subject: Trouble with Inserting Interface Cable into TMV71A

Hi, Again, Folks. Am working on a few rigs at a time, so sorry for
the two posts. Just got a TMV71A, and can't seem to plug the DIN
connector into the radio. Is there a trick to doing this? Which way
should the cable be pointing when I plug it into the
connection? Thanks in advance.--Matt, N1IBB.
