Matt:

If you press the function key )the top righthand button on the keypad,
followed by the band select button right nexxt to it, you will hear a
higher beep. This will allow you to toggle from one VFO to the other
separately. If you do this and get the low beep when pressing the band
select button, both VFO's are operating simultaneously.

Let me know if this helps.

Subject: Problem with my THF6A

Hi, Folks. I seem to be having a problem with my THF6A. I inadvertently
pressed one of the number keys, and I'm hearing both weather and the
repeater freq. How do I turn off the weather? It's as though I have two
receivers going at once. Am totally confused. Thanks for any help you can
provide.--Matt, N1IBB.
