John, I just wrote back to Scott about same.  I got one for the 
same reason you did but am not able to hit as many 220 repeaters 
from my QTH as I had hoped.  I found the operation a little 
confusing but I loaned the rig to a blind friend before really 
giving it much of a chance.  Jim WA6EKS
