The truckders here use to act like channel 19 was theirs and theirs alone.
Some really used some pretty fowl language, which personally doesn't
bother me, but we all use to monitor 19 and wasn't something you wanted on
with a car load of kids listening. Even when we'd ask them politely to
tame it down, they'd act even worse. One night, long long ago, there were
a bunch on 19 and I wanted to call my brother. I asked if they'd let me
call and told them we'd move off of 19. Was told, this is our channel go
screw yourself. Well, in those days I had an ft101 e and I had of course
cut the brown wire to open it up. I also had an fl2100 matching

amplifier. I
made my call and you better believe when I got done the channel was quiet.
I love it when a plan comes together.
