You need to press the vox delay button.
CW output is disabled or enabled by this button.
It's the third button from the top of the 590. On the left hand edge of the
radio.

Hi, Folks.  Finally got on the air!  My dipole's up, and I've had some nice
phone contacts on 80 meters.

However, unable to get my CW to work.  When I use my keyer or my straight
key, I get the tones, but the signal's not getting out.  Phone works fine.
