And the Elecraft KX3 can fit into your coat pocket and runs at least 10
watts. That may be the smallest and best but I'm sure there are cheaper, if
older alternatives available. i've never operated the k3 outside the shack
but it only weighs 8 pounds or so and would be quite easy to transport. And
Jim is quite right, it can be cranked all the way down to 0 milliwatts.
