I'm curious to know the reasoning behind this.
Is it simply because our newer rigs are better regulated in terms of their
output power, or is is something else?
Obviously, not having to use the alc makes my life easier, but it seems
rather strange to have the function so prominent on the ALS600 with no
apparent need to use it.
