Here is a little tip regarding using the NFBK Reader Program. Do you have
situations where your computer is doing something but you have no idea what
it is doing because your speech program isn't telling you anything? I just
tried to shut down my computer, and I got the sound telling me it was
shutting down, but then, it didn't shut down. I could hear the hard drive
going and the sounds that it makes when it is working or processing
something, but my speech program was not speaking. So, I got my iPhone and
booted up my KNFB Reader Program and took a picture of the computer's
screen. While it didn't read it perfectly, and while it took me a couple of
times, it read it well enough so I could tell it was saying

Do not switch off or unplug your computer

Installing 8 of 20 updates.

I was relieved to be able to read this and know what was going on with my
computer even though my speech program wasn't talking!
