Yes the remote VFO was a big deal as it gave me the full capability of a modern transceiver, including monitoring of the transmit freq. 
Next up for me is a decent ATU that will allow me to go to 75M with my amp and 160. Not out at the cottage for the WPX and hopefully, I'll be working on some sort of mast to get my 75/160M long wire up. 
Also want to get some radials down for the vertical but that won't come until the spring break up. <HIHI> 
I got a little lucky this weekend as the winds co-operated and that's why I'd like to get a backup antenna up so won't need to stop operating. 
On the WPX, I would think that's an absolute madness free for all. LOL
