I think this worked.

1.       Bring up skype.

2. Press alt for the menus.

3. Arrow down twice to profile pulldown.

4.  Hit the right arrow and go down to edit your profile.

5.  Press enter and tab to   the link with your skype name.

6.  Press enter and edit your name.

7.  Press enter to save the changes.
