The transverter converts the 2 meter band from 144.00 to 28.00
and you can use it on a hf radio. It can transmit about 75 wats in all
modes. you hook the antenna from your (example ts590 to the
transverter. and also the relay cable from the ts590 to a pin plug on
the transverter.
I think it is menu 51, then use the antenna 2 connection and it will
send 100 millawats to the transverter and you can then use it on 2
meters. If you use it with a example ts480 you run it at 5 wats, and
there is an adjustment to set the transverter to work with the ts480.
It is a pot under the transverter to set the transverter to run with 5
wats, down to 100 millawats. This is so you don't overdrive the
transverter. There is an adjustment for the receive also.
