Harvey, what were you using before you started using Windows 8? Were you
using XP or Windows 7?

I am using Windows 8.1, but I really can't help him with anything because
like you said, it's very different. If he is using Jaws, Freedom Scientific
might be able to help some. And I don't use any of the amateur radio
programs, so I am not familiar with them at all.

Subject: Windows 8
A blind ham buddy of mine here just purchased a new lap top with Windows 8
on it. It is totally different from what he had on his old computer. I think
he either had XP or Windows 7 on the old lap top. He is having lots of
trouble trying to find anything on it. He just called me for help, but since
I'm using Windows 7 and not at all familiar with Windows 8, I was not able
to help him at all. He wants to be able to put his log book and other
programs on it.
Do any of you use Windows 8 and if so, can you help with his transition or
suggest something I can consult to be able to help him?
Ron, K8HSY
