Hi all,
I'm running Windows 10 and Office 2016 on a Lenovo Idea Pad all-in-one.
I have the feeling I'm asking this question because I don't really
understand how my computer works.
I've been working on a large file (about 70,000 words) in Word 2016. A
couple of weeks ago, I hit ctrl+s to save (as I'd been doing all
evening), when I suddenly got a memory error. It said the file could not
be saved because I was short on space. So I went into my BARD folder and
deleted about 200 books, emptying the recycle bin afterward. About
twenty minutes later, I was able to save my word file without any
problems. Since then, I've continued working on my file, and
everything's been fine.
Then today, I had a similar problem. I was working on a short Word
document (about 2,000 words). I've been saving the document all
afternoon, and suddenly, I'm getting the same memory error. I haven't
downloaded any large files, like music, photos, or audio books. In fact,
this morning, I deleted about 5,000 email messages. So there should be
plenty of space for my computer to store my file. I stopped trying to
save that file, and came over to check email. After about 15 minutes, I
tried again, and was able to save successfully.
What is this memory error message? Am I getting it because Windows or
Office is running a save or back up of some sort, which shouldn't
concern me, or am I getting it because somethin' bad about to happen?
Any thoughts?
Ciao
