Hi,
Having used the Ribonns in Word and Excel for at least a couple of years
now, I avoid virtual ribbons, the main reason being that the virtual
ribbbons turn off the ability to use the newer shortcut key combinations
such as alt+p followed by s, then p to get into page setup. These
newer-style shortcut keys, also known as key tips, are every bit as powerful
as the old shortcut keys used to be in Office 2003 and earlier. So, in my
considered opinion, virtual ribbons, while intended to make the user
interface friendlier for those who want to avoid ribbons, are more of a
hindrance than a help. Spend time exploring the ribbons and you'll get
along much better in the long run.,
Tom
