Eric, I put a dummy load on my second antenna output on the 590 
and use an antenna switch on the 1 antenna output so I can change 
from a dipole to a vertical.  Seems to do alright.  Jim WA6EKS

I will probably do that too, put a dedicated six meter antenna on 
the second
antenna port and use the other for all the other hf bands.
