Hi Group,

I forwarded the message about the definition of a boat:
"A boat is a hole in the water lined with wood, fiber or carbon, into which
you chuck money! "
to an inveterate fisherman who was also briefly involved with ham radio
now living in Florida.

He responded as follows:
"Well, at least the fish don't talk back and you don't have to deal with
a bunch of stodgy old 'A-holes' (he used the real word.)

He also said that fishing in Florida is OK except for the following:
not enough parking at the wharfs;
very high fees for public fishing areas;
over priced boat repair fees (he used to live in New York and fish there
and he says repair prices were not nearly so high.)
...and too many snow birds coming down and hogging all the facilities
from about November through May.

So essentially he agreed with the high cost of the fishing
hobby--without really stating it directly.
