Knock on wood, I still have my Zenith speak EZ which still works well.  But
like every other VCR it has gone the way of all things, and we don't have
accessible DVR'S to replace them.  Comcast puts out a talking cable/DVR box
for subscribers who want it, but that serves only certain cable subscribers.

Remember when zenith made a talking vcr.  Worked fairly well, but wasn't 
around long.
