David and all:
When I e-mailed LDG a month or two ago , asking the question about the
ability of LDG auto-tuners like the AT1000 to interface directly with
Kenwood rigs such as the TS590, I was given a pretty convincing "no
answer". I think confirmation of this also appears on the LDG web site.
To me, this means that the TS590's internal antenna tuner would have to be
manually disabled when using one of the LDG models.
If I am incorrect, I hope someone on list will let me know.

Subject: ldg kt-100 tuner
Hello all:
There is a youtube video put out by ldg on the kt-100tuner(did a "google"
search), and perhaps it will answer some questions. It appears that the
590's internal tuner has to be bypassed momentarily when tuning the 6 meter
band since that band isn't supported by the origianal at-300 tuner. I
believe that all other ts-590 tuning can be accomplished "seamlessly" using
the transceiver's front panel tune (with corresponding feedback beeps for
tune, or no tune)button. The video makes several references to the kt-100
owner's manual as well, and maybe answers your questions more fully.
Failing the foregoing, you could always contact ldg directly via
e-mail(contact info on their site) for definitive answers. Hope that is
somewhat helpful.
Best regards,
David S. Pearson-wa4dsp
