Not sure if the LDG has any beeps.   Maybe not, or maybe turned off by 
previous owner.  I know many on this list use LDG, so  they must be 
usable.  Just no personal experience here.

Actually very little needed to be set up.   It came defaulted for 
Kenwood,  but an internal jumper would need to be moved for other radio 
types.

It's been a long time, but I remember in menus first turning on the SWR 
beeps, but  then turning them off.    Also setting the SWR threshold for 
  the amp keying line.  This will disconnect the amp keying if SWR has 
exceeded the set value.

I don't remember doing anything else, but it's been a long time.

Jim's mention of  how his tuner works in regard to button in or out to 
know what mode you are in is nice.  Again, in my case, it's a toggle 
between  the 2 modes with either 1 or 2 beeps.
