Ron, I haven't used the vertical a lot on 80 meters, but have worked
stations in Texas and Oklahoma with no problem. It's definitely a
compromise antenna for 80 though. I wouldn't put it up against a good high
inverted vee for example.

Jim, how well does your ZeroFive vertical antenna work on 80/75 meters? My
experience with verticals in the past has been that they do not work very
well on 80/75 meters for most regional contacts and nets, but they work much
better for more distant contacts because of the angle of radiation. Has that
been your experience?

I don't have a Zerofive flag pole antenna, but like Michael, I'm impressed
with their products and support. When I got my 29 foot vertical for 6
through 80 meters, I emailed Tom with some questions, and got a prompt
response. The antenna has worked great for me since I put it up a year ago.

By the way, how much does a regular flag pole cost? They're probably not
cheap in any case, because they have to support a wind load at the top.

I'd like that feedback too, although the price tag does seem pretty steep.

Have any of you, or anyone you know, any experience with the ZeroFive Flag
Pole Vertical Antennas such as the 30 FOOT Flag Pole antenna for 10 thru 80
meters? It gets a perfect 5 out of 5 rating by users on eHam, but I would
like to get feedback from one of you if you have ever used that antenna. .
It is pretty costly at $799.99.
