I don't have a PSR500 so my interest is academic but is
there somewhere I could get a file for one and see if I can
disect the file to read it's contents?

In Linux, there are a number of tools for reading and
writing binary files. There is a utility called strings that one
can use on a binary file to find any text embedded in the file.
Of course there are a zillion ways to encode binary files for
compression of the data and reverse-engineering that gets to be
really difficult.

I just want to see if I can do it.

Thanks and 73
Martin
