Hi Duane,

I found it easier to plug my phone into my computer and use iTunes to set up my account. Unfortunately iTunes seems to have become harder to use, but this still might be easier than trying to type on your phone without a keyboard. Good luck.

Diane

Subject: [VICUG-L] Frustrated trying to create an Apple ID

Hi All,

I recently failed despite several attempts to create an Apple ID using my iPhone 5. By the time I had entered all of the required personal and billing information over several screens I was invariably greeted with a dialog box informing me that my session had timed out. Despite becoming increasingly faster at entering the information with each attempt, I was never able to complete the process successfully. I became frustrated to the point of wanting to hurl my iPhone against a brick wall or into the ocean, if not both. I do not currently use a Bluetooth keyboard with my phone and I believe I am using the standard typing settings.

How have others managed to accomplish this? I am totally blind and have no usable vision. Is there a way to do this using a desktop Windows computer? For that computer I am using Windows 7 and JAWS 17.

Thanks,
Duane
