I am finally addressing my high blood pressure problem (been in the ER 3 times this month so far) and need to reduce my sodium intake. However, most of the gluten free bread, crackers, cookies, etc have a lot sodium. My cardiologist wants me to limit sodium less than 150 mg per serving. I have used Udi bread for years (millet and chia) and the serving size is two slices at 300 mg.
So I am asking if any of the list mates can recommend a low sodium bread, crackers, etc. When I was first diagnosed in 1996 used Ener-G rice bread from Seattle and it seems like they had a lower sodium option and will check that out but I remember the bread was not the best tasting. I have never been very good at making things from scratch but would certainly appreciate any suggestions in following a gluten free and now a low sodium diet.
I will follow up with a summary. Thanks.
