Hi all:

On the Import Communications website there is a scathing letter to eham
purporting to be from the original United States importer(I think that he
refers to himself as Ed Griffin) of the Wouxun ht's wherein he comments on
the defects, and poor quality control/micro-chips inherent in these radios,
and to stay away from them because they're almost guaranteed to fail. I
know that these radios were given out at the 2011 Handiham radio camp, and
was wondering if current owners/users agree with this asessment. According
to the Powerworks site, the newest generation Wouxuns contain the latest
firmware(including English speaking voice. I am particularly interested in
the 2meter/440 dual band model, and was wondering what the general opinion
was from experienced owners/users.

Second, Would someone please give me a primer on Yagi hf antennas(theory
/practical operation, etc.)?

Thank you,

David S. Pearson-wa4dsp
