Steve, thanks! You just told me more than I knew!! There was a time when I
was really sharp with electronics, built a lot of my own equipment, etc.
But, I dropped out for a few years, and now, I feel like I am back in
Kindergarten again, having to learn digital electronics from ground zero! I
think it is really exciting and super fantastic, but like all new
technologies, it is a major challenge for blind people to use. Frankly, I
think there is a fairly simple solution, but so far, we don't have anyone
with enough vested interest to help us develop that solution.

Ron,

You wouldn't need  an interface  for the 590, although you could do it 
that way if you want.   The 590's internal sound card is all you would 
need.  Audio goes in and out from radio to pc via the USB connection.
