Hi Eric!
I am not sure about the TS-590, but for the TS-2000 there are some specific
things about antennas and tuning when it comes to the 6M band. First,
either ATT1 or ATT2 can be used for 160M - 6M, and the rig will remember
which antenna is used for each band. Second, the internal tuner works only
on ATT1. Lastly, the internal tuner does not work for the 6M band. I
suspect it is the same for the TS-590.
My solution for this was to put a dedicated 6M antenna on ATT2; leaving ATT1
for all HF bands.

Subject: Kenwood TS590S Antenna Port Question
Hello listers,
I notice that the 590 has two antenna ports on the back panel designated
antenna 1 and antenna 2.
I understand that antenna 1 is the main transceiver antenna.
What antenna port is used for six meters?
Does the second antenna port work for six meters?
My 480 had two antenna pigtails one for all the hf bands and the other for
six meters.
I've looked in all the manual related materials I have including tutorials
and can't seem to find the answer.
Thanks for the help
Eric
