Richard,.
To start out, I'd suggest you ignore the DXSjpots.com site and the CC-User
program you mentioned. I didn't find CC-User to be accessible. I really
didn't need to configure DXSpots.com beyond what ACLog automatically does.
The reference to DXSpots and advanced configuration is just "if you want"
info. Just do everything directly from ACLog. Go to the DX Spot
configuration and all will be good from there.

Hi Jim!

I am interested in setting up this feature in AC Log as well, but I need a
bit more help as follows.

I visited dxspots.com. There, it seems to say what you should do is use the
"CC-User Program." This link takes you to a website where a program called
"CC Cluster" can be downloaded. Apparently, CC Cluster acts like a proxy
between dxspots.com and AC Log. Following is the link to the CC Cluster
website:

http://www.ve7cc.net/

Is this correct? Undoubtedly, I will have a few more questions along the
way here!

Alan,
Yes. It's a built in feature. It interfaces with DXSpots.com. To turn it on,
go to the settings menu, then go to "DX Spotting..." then "configure."

All you have to check is "enable DX spotting" then "done."

There are a lot more options, including a speech alert on needed countries /
bands. There are some filters you can set too. In addition, you can login on
DXSpots.com and really customize your filters. What you set on the website
are in effect when you later login via ACLog.

To see (with Jaws) the list of recent spots inside ACLog, just press
control+z. Then you can arrow down the list of spots. Pressing enter on
control+any
of them will put that callsign in the call field of the log and, if you have
the rig interface set up in ACLog, it will move your rig to that mode, band,
and frequency.

I even have it interfaced with USB rotor control so when I go to that spot,
the beam turns. But, that's a topic for another post later.

  and also,

Does AC Log have the capability to interface with any DX clusters? I would
be interested in getting spots for certain DX on specified bands. Can AC
Log help me with this?

Thanks for any responses.
