Hello Butch, the main difference between the 1300 and 1306 is the six meter
coverage in the new model.  There are other improvements, including band
following, plus a few more that I presently can't recall.

Do you know the difference between 1300 and the new 1306, I didn't know
there was even a new model.  I have had other people tell me the same sad
final story you told, no reason why.
