Gery,
I am not diabetic but just finished formatting and Brailling the 
operations manual for the Prodigy Glucose Monitor for a blind friend 
who is unable to read the audio version of the document.  It looks to 
me as though the device is fully blind accessible.  At my former 
position at a local Center for Independent Living, it seemed that the 
meter is quite inexpensive, perhaps under $50.
