you will only get a benefit IF you are actually tuned, which means to do it outside the ham bands and get any benefit at all you would have to produce rf outside of your privileges, and outside the ham bands you would also have to get the radio modified for out of band, and by definition illegal transmissions. Most people i assume have this done already so they can use the 60 meter bend which came out after the 2k was designed.. The tuner does not work properly on 60 meters even if it acts like it is working
