Matt, I have a number of 10 meter repeaters in my TS590. They
are all 100 KHZ split with the inputs 100 KHZ below the outputs
which are on 29.62, .64, .66, and .68. While repeater
information scecifies use of PL tones on them, I have never used
them because of phase distortion and have opened repeaters from
my CA. QTH on all of those frequencies. The most common ones I
have hit are 29.62 in New York and 29.66 in Dallas Texas. I just
hit some repeater on 29.64 but it's very weak so can't tell where
it is. I have heard there are 10 meter repeaters on other
frequencies within the 29.6 29.7 window but have never found any.
Additionally, 29.6 is the 10 meter FM simplex call frequency with
29.5 an alternate. 73, Jim WA6EKS.

Subject: 10-meter Repeaters, a Few Questions
Hi, Folks. Am using the HandiHam system/remote base until my
antenna's up. Are there many 10-meter repeaters, and what's the
split?
Also, what kind of luck have folks had in terms of operating on
six
meters in any mode? Thanks in advance.--Matt, N1IBB.
P.S. Made my first phone contact via the HandiHam remote base on
14.240. Spoke with KD8ZWI. Nice to do phone on HF!
