Phil:
This kind of stuff happens to the best of us, so please don't feel
embarrassed.
And, for Howard, speaking of cords, I now have more in my shack than ever,
given my new tuner and amplifier setup, and it can be hard to keep them all
straight.
I try to label things as best as I can with dymo tape, but the tape I got
most recently doesn't stay on forever, which can make things interesting
when some of the labels fall off.
Hopefully, I'm still pretty good at tracing cords manually from one
connection point to the next, but it can get quite challenging when multiple
cords are involved.
I always envy sighted people, who at least occasionally have the benefit of
different-colored wires! (grin)

Phil, you still can write!!!
There are just to many cords in this business.
At the last ham fest, I got a 12 outlet 4 foot long power strip.
It has a master switch at one end.
I wish I had purchased two of them.
At least it wasn't the speaker volume convincing you that you had lost all
speech.
