Hello, Ian, and happy New Year from Mississippi.
I told this story at work this morning, and it brought smiles to those
who heard it, so here goes for the list.
On Dec. 30 1999, I told a friend that I would give him a Y2K Myth
Busters report before 9 AM our time on New Year's Eve. So at about 8:00
AM on the morning of Dec. 31, I pointed my beam your way, and began
tuning across 20 meters.
Sure enough, I found a VK station, whose call I have long forgotten,
but I will always remember what he said just as I found him.
"My radio works, and the toilet flushes. Y2K is off to a great start!"
Happy New Year.
Mike,
