I'm also having a problem with my wire antenna but I think I know what it
is. I'll see tomorrow if I can maybe get that mast down with all the
antennas on it myself and fix it, I think the mast spun in the last wind
storm and the wire is rapped around my metal mast. Not a problem if that's
what it is, I'm going to put a taller mast, and make a stand off so the wire
is further away from the mast then secure it so it can't spin. It's all a
question though of if I can hold the mast myself or not, it has 3 or 4
antennas on it and one is my 900 MHz vertical with half inch hardline so
there's a little weight there. Not to mention my packet VHF antenna, the HF
wire which is heavy, it's not a light thing to lift but I'm going to try it.
