QRN is noise not created by other stations, what you can do about it isn't 
much really.
You probably have two noise blankers, one works better combating constant 
noise, and the other works better with pulse types of noise.
Experiment with them to see what helps.  The best way to learn is to try.
On receive you can do no harm.
