the speech boards for those radios is available through a third party. I am sorry I do not remember who, but they cane found. I miss my old 450 and found it to be a sensitive and capable receiver as long as you and the appropriate filters installed. It was also very easy to use and sounded MUCH better than my 2000 on am. and it’s built in antenna tuner will literally load the peverbail bed springs. I tried it on an old set as well as on a slinky antenna hanging from a tree branch, with the shield of the coax grounded with a tent stake. I worked about 700 miles on 75 meters like that while camping and got an s9 report. Of all the radios I have ever used, it is the best portable rig, not for it’s size, but for it’s ability to load on anything. I worked europe on 20 meters with a 3 foot stainless steel whip on a magnet on the car while driving to va.
