Nice to see how a ham dealer will seek something just because they make more money at it. I remember when they were out to help you make the best choice. The radio bod is identical, but the faceplates are differ,t and are where the extra functionality is based. I bet he could find someone who would like to upgrade to a 710d who bought a 71a, or i the radio is new enough, he should just demand a refund from the dealer.
