Oh, I forgot one important thing. The K3 support isn’t really all that useful if you’re not using braille with your computer. It is nice to be able to use braille to watch the VFO-A and B displays change, but that won’t work all that well with speech, or at least I couldn’t get it to do so with JAWS.

Subject: JJRadio works with the K3

I have updated my JJRadio software to work with the Elecraft K3. The support for the K3 differs somewhat from the support for the Kenwood rigs, in that it relies on reading the VFO-A and VFO-B display areas on the K3, and using the K3’s front panel controls. For example, the program displays a list of the menu items and their associated descriptions, and you change the menu’s value by rotating the VFO-B knob. Values such as the keyer speed and power setting are read by focusing on the VFO-B display area and then rotating the appropriate control.

Anyway, I’ll be ready to send it out soon to anyone who’s interested.
