Sounds like it is in Demo mode. Will research how to get it out of before
you do a hard reset. Gary KB2YAA

Subject: Question About TMV7A

I have a TMV7 A. Be aware that it is not the TMV7 1A, just the A.

It seems to be jammed. No matter which button or knob I hit, it sounds a
high pitch tone.

I know there is a way to do a soft reset and a hard reset.

I do not want to do a hard reset as I’d lose all programming.

Does anyone know how to do a soft reset?

I know you hold down either VFO or memory and turn radio off. One does the
hard reset and the other does the soft reset.
