Thanks for the tip, I should have checked that site as he has a wealth of info covering amps to Z antenna tuners. LOL 
On the inverted L, I could add a sloping wire to the top of my vertical, put down a couple of 132 foot long radials but I'm afraid that it will fool up my 40/15M performance. My vertical is the tallest structure on the property right now with a couple of trees coming close to that height. 
If go with the inverted L mod, I can only run my sloping wire to the East and I think this would make the firing directions of the antenna North and South. If it doesn't fool up my 40/15M performance but makes the antenna a better performer on 75/160M, then I'll do it.
