you have to reprogram the channel with the correct tone...you can set it 
temporarily by using the function key, and the 4 button and then select the 
tone with the multi-select knob...but as soon as you change channels, or 
shut the radio off, the tone will go back to the existing programmed tone.
So, no, there is no quick and easy way....you must over write the channel or 
memory slot with the new information.
Again, this is so super simple from the front pannel that it's like 
breathing.
I suggest that you really learn that radio properly instead of relying on 
anything to do with a computer...what happens in a serious emergency where 
you have no computer and you need to program something into the radio? 
you'll be lost and that is not good.
Learn how to program tones, offsets, split and all that stuff.
