Matt, I don't disagree with your assessment of the THF6A the one I bought in 2004 is still chugging
along I had to replace a battery but that is to be expected.  My point here is that if price is a
consideration and if you need more and clearer feedback than the 6a provides,  The Wouxun radios are
a good choice.  Also, the bloody things appear to be nearly indestructible!

It looks like I am in need of a new ht to replace the kenwood thg71a I purch= ased in 2001. I
haven't researched handhelds after that What are some current accessible models? I am mostly
interested in 2 meters b= ut a dual band would be nice Does ken would still make the thf6a?
