HI Buddy,
I figured that utility program was the same one used to update the rig.
I'm going to try my local radio shack store first to get the cord I want.
Apparently Elecraft supplies the radio with a right angle cord for the power
supply.

Hi,
Yep. In fact, that=92s exactly what you use to upload new firmware.
I=92ve actually got a source for a nice heavy duty power cord. I just = have
to find it again. There=92s only one thing. To put less stress on = the
connectors, Elecraft recommends using right angle connectors. I = found such
adapters on eBay; I=92ll get you an item number if you=92re = interested. Or
maybe I=92ll just bring you a couple when I see you in =
November.=20
The cable is nice heavy wire, at least 16 gauge. It came from somewhere =
that sells lots of stuff for APRS, but I can=92t remember the name of = it.
I=92m sure I have it bookmarked though.
