Mike, I used PVC pipe when running coax through my back wall.
The outer diameter of the PVC is right around 1 inch. The outer
diameter of the PL259 is around 5/8 of an inch and will pass
through the aforementioned PVC with no problem. 73, Jim WA6EKS

Subject: Outer dicmeter of a PL259 connector?

Hello list,

Does anyone know what the outer diameter of a PL259 connector is?
I'm planning a run of LMR440 ultra flex under the mobile home and
need to make a hole in the floor under my ham table. I thought
I'd solder PL259 connectors on each end of the cable before I run
it under the house, but I need to know how big the hole needs to
be to pass the PL259 connector.

Thank you for any help.
