really? outdoor amateur radio activities stop with a little bit of snow?
We had snow last sunday, and then again on monday and some of it stuck to 
the ground even...we were out putting up antennas and running cables on 
Tuesday night lol.
Some guys in the club do winter time in the park style activities where they 
go out and get a station on the air...of course they have a nice roaring 
fire beside the operating position, plenty of hotchocolate and bailies and 
they don't go out while it's actually snowing or when it's below minus 
20...radio equipment doesn't work well, and coax cables and wires don't tend 
to be very flexible in temps below minus 20C.
