Hi John,

I do have the new Wouxun UV8D ht and love it.  It does have a smaller 
speaker than the older models, but you can overwrite memories without 
deleting them first.  You can even change a setting in a channel and the 
ht will remember it.  It also has true dual receive and crossband repeat.
