Hey, Matt
No, I'm not saying there were David Koresh types who tried to get their
stuff into the Bible. I don't know what their motives were. I only know
that there were some folks who wrote stuff that the apostles and those who
came after them said were not Scriptural.
Now Paul the apostle did say a lot of folks in his own day were preaching
stuff that he had nothing to do with and that had nothing to do with the
real Gospel. They were pretending to be Believers because they could make
money at it. Gee, sounds familiar. Smile. And there were some who just
liked the attention. So it's possible some of these folks wrote fraudulent
things they tried to pass as Scripture but failed.
All that aside, it's a blessing to read how deeply devoted you are to
building a strong foundation for Terri and the baby being a good husband and
father and keeping your house strong in the LORD. It's great to hear,
especially nowadays when so many folks think they don't need GOD or the
Bible and their homes are going to hell, literally.
Paul
