Hi all,
I ran in to a very strange problem with my kenwood thf6a.
All of the sudden it acted like the battery died but the radio was still running.
It would no longer transmit also would no longer beep when pushing buttens and the receive audio was very low and the volum control had no afect.
Also the squelch was stuck open.
Also for a while you couldn't change anything with the radio.
The display according to some one who looked at was scrambled.
After some messing with it we were able to get the display to work.
Then was able to do a full reset and that fixt the problem.
This just didn't seem like a software problem but it turnd out to be some kind of micro prossesser problem.
Has any one ran in to anything like this with the TH F6A?
I had one a few years that just suddenly wouldn't power up and had several tech's look at it and no one could get it going.
You ofcourse can't reset it unless you can get in to the menu's.
It will be interesting to hear from others on this.
I an very happy to have it going again.
also was good i had all of my programming backed up in to the computer.
Thanks 73 Mattt ka0pqw
