Hi, Rob and others! I remember my firstt qso in 1966 and how thrilled I was.
I also remember my first qso on a repeater when I got back into ham radio in
1997. Although I won't be doing it tonight, every Wednesday evening at 7
P.M. central time, I amnet control for the handiham radio club Wednesday
night net. During this net I ask an amateur radio related question during
the first half hour. Even though I won't be there tonight I invite you to
check in. That goes for others on the list. If you're in six land as your
call suggests, the time would be 5 P.M. I'll listen for you next Wednesday.
73 and have fun. Doug, N6NFF Sacramento California

Well I had my first QSO this morning on the HandiHam Net. Now for the newbie
question. How do you log the QSO. Was on the net from 9 until 10, but only
talked with one person for about a minute or so. Have his call written down
here somewhere. Thanks for the help.

Oh, an observation. Echolink does not, lay, nicely with NVDA. Had to use a
Jaws demo of all things to get it to work correctly.

Still very new and full of questions, but to actually carry on a QSO all bee
it a short one for the first time was a big thrill. Come to think of it 40
years ago, my first Novice CW contact was a big deal, too.
